Man pleads guilty to bigamy charge
A Scottish man pleaded guilty in Falkirk Sheriff Court to charges of bigamy after marrying his girlfriend whilst still married to his first wife.
According to the Daily Record, the 43 year old had gone ahead with the wedding ceremony because his girlfriend believed that his divorce was finalised, and he hadn't wanted to let her down.
He was fined £500 by the Sheriff and sentenced to 160 hours community service.
