A father from New York is finally in the hands of US authorities after fleeing the country in an attempt to evade his child support obligations, reports CNN.
The 50-year-old, who was referred to as America’s "Most Wanted Deadbeat Parent", owed around $1.2 million in outstanding child support payments for three children he had fathered with two former wives.
He had initially moved from New York to Florida in an attempt to avoid paying child support, but subsequently left the country entirely when warrants were issued for his arrest.
He was finally arrested in November 2012 when he attempted to enter the Philippines without the proper paperwork, and was deported back to Los Angeles.
